I know it's been a minute but as life and other unexpected situations got in the way, I want y'all to know that I am back for a bit and that as always, I am cooking something and exciting to share with everyone about this new project that was in the works for months.
MOVEMENTS is a holistic/ alternative wellness retreat project that was born out of the concept of putting one's body and mind into a state of balance and tranquility through different types of movements ( fitness bootcamp, dance and yoga). Months ago, I teamed up with my mentor and partner, Ariel Absera Z'L, whom helped me with the concept and logistics of the project. Even though he was called to heaven way too soon, I wanted to continue and go forth with this project in his honor and legacy.
Our first ever wellness retreat will be held next month in a place dear and near to my heart, no other than Negril, Jamaica. Participants will get to stay from May 18-22, 2023 at the gem of a paradise Ocean Cliff Resort for 5 days and 4 nights and if you have seen my last article about Negril, they were the featured hotel. Click on the website to see more photos of this haven.
Participants will also be chauffeured and picked up to and from the airport in Montego Bay during and after the event and most of all, the exciting part of the retreat is that all immersive classes (both men and women are welcome of all ages) are included. Classes and local professional instructors who are part of the Movements team are:
RANIEL who is our local licensed fitness expert who owns Exxotic Fitness Beach Gym in Negril. He will be the participant's instructor for fitness bootcamp in the sandy, powdery private beach area of Ocean Cliff Resort in the morning, starting Friday, May 19 to kickstart all your muscles and sweat it out.

ROMEL, who is a member of Team Unlimited dance group will be teaching dancehall classes in the afternoon to elevate your dance moves the next time you hit the dance floor at a party. "Dancehall" is a particular type of dance that is unique to Jamaica and its culture which is a similar genre and a mix of afro beats and reggae.

Last but not the least, the lovely DENICE, who is a certified fitness and yoga instructor and also Exxotic Fitness Beach Gym's co-owner, will be teaching sunset yoga after a long day's physical activity so participants can unwind and have the zen vibes will watching the Negril sunset which is a sight to behold.
